Generative AI is no longer a peripheral tool but an active agent interacting with our curriculum. This session moves beyond “detecting cheating” to advocate for a proactive, dual-pronged pedagogical re-evaluation. We will first explore how faculty can leverage AI to audit and refine their own course content for greater depth and clarity. Concurrently, we must analyze how students are already using AI on our materials, a process that often exposes superficial learning objectives or assessment vulnerabilities.
This new reality necessitates adaptation, forcing us to mitigate AI’s negative impacts (e.g., on critical skill development) while harnessing its positive potential to personalize learning and foster deeper inquiry.
