Member Communities
DLAC knows how important it is to provide opportunities for the community to come together to drive innovation.
Through DLAC Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), members work together and support one another in leading this charge. PLCs vary each year with the needs of the community, with most groups working towards a goal or work product to help support or influence the field. PLCs have regular virtual meetings and asynchronous discussions. They have the option to gather at Ignite, and may maintain a repository of documents and/or videos to support their work. Standard PLCs are open to all DLAC members, while eligible Premium and Enterprise members can participate in Premium PLCs.
Premium Communities
Charter Schools
The Charter Schools PLC offers an exclusive space for leaders within specific school types to collaborate, share insights, and address unique challenges faced by virtual charter school leaders. Members have access to an asynchronous discussion area and at least four virtual meetings per year, designed to facilitate deep engagement on topics tailored to their unique challenges within the charter school community.
Leadership Circle
DLAC Premium and Enterprise Members can assign two members to be a part of the DLAC Leadership Circle. This group, representing a wide range of programs and perspectives within the digital learning field, meets approximately eight times a year, virtually. Members in the Leadership Circle participate in a yearly in-person Leadership Strategy Summit where together they explore evolving trends, tackle pressing challenges, and develop practical resources that support the work of our members across the country.
Leading with AI
The AI Leadership PLC offers an exclusive space for education leaders to collaborate, share insights, and navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence in digital learning. Members have access to an asynchronous discussion area and at least four virtual meetings per year, designed to facilitate meaningful conversations on topics such as AI strategy, policy development, instructional innovation, assessment, professional learning, and organizational leadership.
Private Schools
The Private Schools PLC offers an exclusive space for leaders within specific school types to collaborate, share insights, and address unique challenges faced by virtual charter school leaders. Members have access to an asynchronous discussion area and at least four virtual meetings per year, designed to facilitate deep engagement on topics tailored to their unique challenges within the private school community.

The AI PLC is dedicated to the exploration of AI in digital learning environments. We believe that collaboration is essential to the cross-pollination of ideas that draw on diverse perspectives — across virtual and hybrid programs — to create a shared understanding of AI’s role in education. We aim to be a vital resource for pushing AI integration forward.
Design & Refine: Best Practices for Digital Learning
This community of practitioners share a passion for best and promising practices in online and blended learning. Join us virtually each month to hear from and learn with educators who are doing amazing things with their online or hybrid programs. Teachers and administrators — this is the place to share success and struggles, know you aren’t alone, and grow — improving the learning experience. Monthly gatherings and asynchronous discussions help you engage with others and stay abreast of both new and tried and true practices that lead to student success.
Policy Protectors
If you like roller coasters this is the group for you! In the always changing, always uncertain, “who knows what legislators are going to do,” era of policy, this group is sure to be exciting! You don’t need to be an expert to join the DLC Policy Protectors. Through the use of asynchronous discussions and virtual meetups, we hear from peers across the country on wins, concerns, and strategies to deploy when the unexpected pops up. Stay on top of important issues, and occasionally hear from those working on super cool initiatives and strategies across the country. P.S.
